Dropped my son off at a party and went to the supermarket to get a couple of bits. Queued, paid and then realised that I had forgotten something, so went back and got it, queued and paid again. Just as I was coming through the till, I heard my alarm go off. Got outside to be greeted by a group of bare-chested 20-something t
ts on mountain bikes, one of whom was in a big heap next to the car. 'What the fk have you done to my car you prick?' Scrote gets himself and his bike up and legs it away with his mates down a one way road 
The damage;

Is it worth reporting it to the Police and have the Supermarket got cameras.
Maybe the police will recognise the scrotes.
Car was parked out on the street in front of the shop. Not going to report to the police as it's unlikely they will even investigate as there is only superficial damage and I think he simply fell off, so no malicious intent.Maybe the police will recognise the scrotes.
Still a pain in the backside though.

Been having real trouble getting any info on the paint code for Prestige Grey. S&D can supply a litre to original TVR spec but there's no guarantee that it will match what's on the car at the moment (I suspect that it has been partially or completely painted at some point). It doesn't help that apparently, only 4 cars came out of the factory in '99 in that colour 
So, I met a guy who works for a local-ish paint company and he took some readings from various points on the car and he has come back saying that it seems to be a 94% match with................
.....a Citroen paint! (Oh the shame!)
I think it will probably need some blending to get the percentage up a bit - probably some more aluminium to get the sparkle right but I'm a bit more confident that I'll be able to get the damage done without having to resort to a full re-spray.
I'll update this thread and the Paint Codes Wiki as and when I get a definitive answer.
One question though - was Citroen a common 'donor' for paint codes?

You own one !!!! Thats exactly why i would never ever park or even drive my p&j anywhere near a supermarket. I am a full time chauffer and drive a new Beemer for the job. Even when i'me sitting in the car waiting, i've lost count of the number of times some scrote or senile old goat has just wacked open their dopors to hit the car. When you say something to them they just shrug their shoulders as if to say "it's only a car, whats the big deal?" They just dont think the same as we do, and when you look at the piece of crap they are usually driving (Kia) or some other mundane piece of junk you understand that to them a car is no more than white goods. Never park your baby in any place like a supermarket.

I'm getting increasingly fked off with stuff like this too, near me there seems to be a gang of scrotes that go round on mopeds. They see me and it's like they HAVE TO follow me. Just because it's a sporty car. fk off!
Either that or everytime I look in my mirror theres a friggin' S3 or VW Golf right up my arse. Does my head in.
