Flat damaged by double glazing contractors

Had new windows fitted by one of the big companies to a rental property this week. Flat had already been completely repainted (wrong order I know but trying to minimise time off the market).

Fitters were careless and have chipped paint off radiators, sills, walls and left mucky hand prints on freshly painted walls. A manager came back to view the damage and has agreed that they will repaint.

I would prefer my own bloke to do it as he did a good job in the first place and the contractors have already fked it up once. They are insisting on doing it themselves as 'it will be cheaper'. Anyone know what my rights are ?

I think they're being perfectly reasonable. It will cost them pennies to do themselves, so it's pretty unreasonable to expect them to pay for someone else to make a profit out of it.

Legally, you won't have a leg to stand on.

Yes, you always have to give them a chance to fix it.
