I have had my Elise 111r for nearly two years now and have the urge to do a track day.

My son bought me a voucher 18 months ago for use at Brands I think it was, but they reckoned the car would be too loud.

So, living near Guildford, where could I go to do a novice track day (never done it before) with a stage 2 sports exhaust on a 111r.

Thanks for any advice.

The airfield track days (Abingdon, Hullavington, Colerne, Keevil) that MSE do have the highest db limits, 105 I think

Cheers - just had a quick look on their site and they appear to be all 100dB for the airfield days so I think that will be a no go. Great colour on your VX by the way.

France is the answer, Abbeville has no noise limits, and is about an hour and half once your across the tunnel. Good fun track, great if your new to track days as well wink

Llandow in south Wales wouldn't be an issue. Bit of a treck though. Be worth getting the car checked, Stage 2 is generally too loud for most tracks but may not be as loud as you think. MSE would happily check it for you and probably do a pay if you pass type of booking. Worth a call.

What they said. Did my first track day there with LOT last year and had a fantastic time

if you have a Brands voucher, call them up and ask to transfer it to Snetterton (all under the same MSV ownership). Static noise is 105db so you should be well within the limit. Fairly safe circuit (not much to hit with decent run off), and has a few interesting fast bends which is very satisfying when you nail them right!
