I have realised that EDF energy seem to have been using me as their bank.

Switched to them about 3 or 4 years ago and since then my monthly gas has gone up steadily from £65 a month to £120 a month, and leccy from £35 to £65. I assumed that this was due to the price rises. In the end I did a Uswitch and switched providers and the settlement bills have arrived. EDF have been sitting (even with the severe winter quarter and me sending in meter readings) on £600 of my money which miraculously wasn't shown as in credit at the last bill in December.

I am highly suspicious!

Get an online account setup and you can set the monthly amount yourself .. or just ring them up and ask them to reduce it. Simples.
