Do manuals exist? I've only been able to find Auto's and Tiptronics.

Also are they any good? Pitfalls to watch out for? If anyone knows of a buying guide I would be very grateful. I would be looking at the 320 or 430.

Thanks

I assume you are looking at the W208.
The two engines you are looking at are different beasts the 320 is a V6 and the 430 a V8, so depends on your preference.
If it is a convertible then check that the roof works without issue.
The 208's had rust issues, so make sure you check every inch for the tin worm.
Apart from that they are lovely cars, I had one for a year and loved it.

Yes, rust on wheel arches and tailgate. Also check everything works - lots of toys but lots to go wrong.

The V8 is great if you can afford it.

Thanks guys, it is a W208 I'll be looking at and ideally a hardtop V8 as I've had a V6 and need to tick the V8 box :-D

Now just gotta convince the Missis that the Merc looks better then a 350z...

also check the pixels on the 2x small displays on the dash - clock and temperature - they always go £750 to fix from merc - a good bargaining tool!
