... who was it hanging out the back of a Citroen Picasso taking photographs of a bike on the A153 Horncastle to Louth road approaching Foxendale Hill? I passed you chortled at whom ever it was that looked uncomfortable doing approx 30- 40mph with the boot wide open and hanging out, the driver of the Picasso also looked very rigid. I hope I didnt get my Waitrose van in shot!

I posted on here as it was only mad enough for a fellow PH member to try biggrin

Common practice in the editorial world, although a bit dangermouse doing it on an open road.

When I was shooting the TVR Sagaris marketing material at brunters the boys from BCN were there....shooting from the back of a tranny and the bikers were wheelying only a few feet away from the rear of it. Absolute nutters, was great to see them riding quickly through the bends though!

The pros we do shoots with have harnesses to hold them in when leaning out of an open boot for a tracking shot like that.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit dangerous! It's a smooth road but can be quite undurlating in places.

Mark, I have seen that saftey gear before, kind of similar to that you would wear rock climing? The only thing holding him in was steady driving and his feet hooked around the seats in the car. Quite comical to be honest, I wounder how the shots turned out, it was a nice day.
