Ever wondered why your complaint of left-wing bias against the BBC wasn’t upheld? It could be because you were speaking to one Chris Summers on the phone. Via his Facebook we learn that Mr Summer’s isn’t too keen on his “dull, boring, grey, miserable, crap job – dealing with election complaints!” Would this be the same Chris Summers who is the Labour coucil candidate in Ealing?

Elsewhere in on his Facebook page Summers spins for Brown, who he refers to as “the boss” and advocates his friends vote Labour. Such sentiments about a political party from someone with such a keen interest in his job makes you wonder just how serious his employers are about the balance of their output. At the end of the last month Summers said “Oh, the frustration of working for the BBC! Editorial Guidelines!!! Aaaaaah!!”
You couldn't make it up.

Quite awesome that.

Once again the contempt that the bbc has for the license payers is displayed.

That's what Nikita Khrushchev called Josef Stalin.

It occurred to me today while listening to endless Radio 4 coverage of the miraculous "Clegg Bounce" that not once was the fact that Labour were now third in the latest opinion polls explored in detail. Despite me not being able to recall the last time that the incumbent party was in third place in pre-general election opinion polls.

Endless refernces to how said bounce had spiked Cameron's guns though.

Equally, much was made of the "unfairness" of a voting system that would see the Lib Dems lose by a large margin despite narrowly leading in some polls. Oddly, I have heard very little recently about the inbuilt Labour bias caused by the disparity in consituency populations. I'm sure if the situation was reversed I would've done.

So who exactly do you complain to if the national broadcaster is the government and the government is the national broadcaster?

Their neutral complaints department.

His Facebook account has disappeared, and apparently he's "been assigned alternative duties"!!

I hope that the new government will reappraise the BBC from top to bottom. I support them generally, but stuff like this makes me think that they don't understand their remit.

This made me laugh.
