Just had a brainstorm for a true endurance race....
Discussion
Each team has 2-3 drivers, theres 2 stops(races in reality) per car, and this is how we could make it work...
Teams of 2-3 each car, race starts with 8 teams, no.1 driver starts as driver for said teams, at end of 20 lap race each gap between cars is taken note.....
Second race starts with no.2 driver - grid positions dont matter but cars are let off by there time gaps to each position, i.e curryburns was leading by 10 secs, curryburns team partner y2blade would then start first and given 10 secs first, before we let 2nd place go off and so on for each position,
would need atleast 16 men for this one of event, with maybe 25 lap races at say silverstone, teams would have to be monitored after all wouldnt want curry/redbarron - or say sheppy/flex in one team as they are all quick...
Details yet to be finalised but i think we could make this work, no date as of yet but put your names down and we could sort teams out at later date, problem is everyone needs to make themselves as available as pos, so a night where no other championships will be needed so discuss.

Why not just have a "Team Endurance" race as opposed to singular members.
4 teams of two.
Racing together at the same time, meaning that if you have a team of 1 Excellent Driver and 1 Amatuer driver the pro could race of ont heir own and the amatuer is made to make the best of things.
A fairly equally skilled team might find it better to go round together and take turns slip streaming to save fuel...? So although they might not achieve the maximum distance that one of the members could alone they'd save possibly a single pitstop which might bridge the gap...
The problem I'd forsee in holding people back a'la rally style could mean that if say George (sorry dude,
) and Curry were racing each other George's team mate might have a rather long wait in comparison to Currys' after 20 odd laps.... and I'm not sure how someone might feel about sitting on a start line for that ammount of time, I'm also unsure of how the people at the front of the pack might feel about having an obstacle on the pit stragiht for their first (possibly more) lap/s

If it dont take off and we dont get enough names, we will obviously leave it and not bother, interest permitting i was thinking 2 weeks time on a tuesday evening between 8 and 9.30 every race on the halkf hour if they finish in time.
