My understanding is that the ball bearing turbos spin up more freely and so reduce lag.... and keep spinning better during gearchanges thus improving responsivness.
I also think the cost over £1200 each for a cossie unit were a normal Hybrid would be around £500.
How much difference they actually make and if they are worth the extra I have no idea.
I can't justify them on my twin turbo project and will be using normal hybrid units.
