It's worth checking on the xbox support site to see if your xbox is still under warranty. It's 3 years for rrod and E74 problems, and there was another PHer who got his fixed for free that was even older than 3 years. They even prepay for the carriage, so no money needs to change hands...Let me know if you need any other help with failing whatever course you are supposed to be writing essays for

I had to get the disc out of there to stop it rolling around and generally being a nuisance
.But because I've taken the case off myself and taken off the sticker on the back as it was beyond the normal warranty at the time anyway, it means the lovely people at xbox will flat out refuse to fix it, regardless of the fact I didn't even touch the internals and it's just a standard rrod job... but hey ho... life goes on!
However, from all this, I have learnt I will not be buying another xbox!

hmm, I still have severe doubts they will repair an older xbox with no rear warranty sticker and a scratched off serial number.Use some heat and a scalpel to remove serial that way will be ok if you do need to send it off to microsoft

Can I just interrupt you for minute player 1 from your immersion in this game to ask you to press one of two paddle keys to decide whether you'd like to walk down a left route or a right route.
Sorry player one, although it may appear that the area you are trying to jump down into is explorable, it's really just there for eye candy, so despite you being a super soldier, you can't climb over a low railing!
