Quite so - as it exemplifies a common PH phenomenon where people who go against the grain tend to get shot down in flames by the "regulars".

Instead of instantly ridiculing the OPs on both threads, perhaps there a useful debate to be had around how PH can accommodate a wider range of interests as it grows? Or whether communities in fact belong to all of their members, not just an "elite".
