What do people think? I feel it has lost some of the old character, the thing I dont get is, why not just use the old circuit instead of the loop at the top?

It is a pity to loose the existing circuit which i think is brilliant, packing so much in to a small track ( im even playing there this weekend)

i expect the real reason is moving the track away from the cottages at the top was required to get the PP through...

is it just me or does part of the new ciruit look like it was nicked from brands hatch indy circuit

If a stocky guy called Mike (who always wears a baseball cap) is there in his hut at the circuit selling stickers, kindly tell him Wacky Racer sends his best wishes.......

Thanks

Apparentally it is being designed by the same guy who designed the original circuit... which is nice

I will be very sorry to see the old circuit go. I remember the first time I arrived there, having driven from Ipswich (now that's a long haul...) and asking 'where's the track, then?' Up there, said the guy on the burger stand, pointing to what I thought was a goat track. Since then, I've learned to love it. Got my first qualifying front row, and had my first proper accident there. It's unique, quite tricky, and when all that roundy round stuff is finished, at what other circuit can you take a walk along the seashore and look out across the Irish sea? Magic place. I wish them all good fortune with the development, but I hope they manage to keep at least some of the atmosphere.
