Trespasser in boot

What with the nice weather on the weekend, thought I would take out the Tuscan for a spin with the roof off and rear screen out. Upon removing the protective bag for the rear screen, I wondered to myself, "what are all these leaves doing in here?", and "why has the fleecy lining disintegrated?", and "what are these holes doing in the cover?", and worst of all "what is all this brown liquid?!".
I am guessing that this was a Mouses's little pad over winter, and he must have legged it when I opened the boot and went back to the house to fetch a few things. The smelly brown liquid stuff must be mouse pi$$ (I didn't know it was brown - you learn something every day). Mrs Jim, who is prone to unhelpful comments such as "that wouldn't happen if you had a Porsche", found it all rather amusing. I assume it must have climbed up the inside of my car cover, and squeezed between the boot and the rubber seal tubing. Boot is now set with a mousetrap baited with bacon rind, in case the little b*****d decides to come home.
Anyway, does anyone know where I can get a new screen bag from? RG have one on the website at a quite incredible price. I have tried the various TVR likely salvage yards without success.

I usually post a warning when the mice are on the move in Autumn.
My traps go down around end October for me and as soon as I catch one I let the guys know.
They are destructive little bleeders and certainly don't belong in a garage.
Mars bar is the trick for catching them. Honestly

If they are its simple to make another. Just like a big envelope really and our normal household sewing machine can sew it.

I had a rodent friend/s chew through a new set of CRE HT leads and make a bed on my inlet manifold about 3 years ago 
i now use an old T shirt soaked in heating oil placed in a paint roller tray and pushed under the sump the smell is so strong they don't come near the car 
i just re-soak once a month 
no problems since

I've recently had a big problem with mice. This happened between January and the middle of February. On returning from holiday and checking over the car (Tuscan) in the garage. I discovered that I had a large mouse nest consisting of leaves and ripped newspaper situated on top of the manifold. I also discovered that little blighters had got into the boot and attacked the leather stitching and rear light covers (I don't know how or why they got into the boot.) They rather bizarrely ate through both seat belts. (It's a good job they did because what alerted me to the problem was when I pulled the seat belt over me it came away in my hand. Otherwise I would have been unwittingly driving with nest of paper and leaves camped on a bloody hot engine and manifold!). The passenger footwell carpet was eaten. The drivers seat stained. The engine loom damaged. The wiring to both doors was damaged which caused the paassenger door to not open. The wiring looms were also damaged.
I wonder if the mice have a preference for Tuscan's I ask this because in the garage next to the Tuscan is our Chim but this was left alone. If I had a choice I think I would have rather had it the other way round but don't tell that to the other half - it's hers!
Hats off to Bryan and the team at Racing Green who did a first rate job of sorting our the damage and getting her looking like new again even though she was already like new in the first place.
All in all the damage came to about £2500. Thank God for insurance. So now I've got bait down, an ultrasonic mice deterrent and a trap; so far so good.

I went into the garage, car wouldn't start so thought the bloody trickle charger had gone the way of the dodo so pushed her outside to jump her off the wifes car.
On opening the bonnet I find Mr and Mrs bloody Squeek and a massive family of little buggers living in the scuttle panel! They had climbed up the wheel arch liners and through the drain holes and into the scuttle. Seems the sound deadening from under the bonnet and half my bloody ECU wiring made for a great home/shag palace!
Unfortunatly the wife was there so I had to gentle remove them, otherwise there may have been a mousey massacre involving me and the pressure washer wand of justice!
My advice if your puting your car away for the winter is to invest in some kind of bloody big snake to eat the little buggers!
