Need the help of those in/familiar with the trade.

Unfortunately after 3 years of happy ownership the time has come for my beloved Elise to move on. But here is where I need the help. The market for a car like the Elise is very limited here in Ireland so I was thinking of marketing it in the UK or selling direct to a UK dealer/specialist.
So my questions are as follows.
- Are dealers receptive to foreign registered cars?
- Which dealers/specialists would you recommend I try (PM me if you don't want to name them here)
- What sort of offer should I expect (see car details below)
- What about dealers selling the car on my behalf?
Car is a 03 S2 Elise standard model K-Series,
Hurricane induction kit and Eliseparts sports exhaust fitted,
34000 miles,
has a FSH,
Ardent red with Black leather,
Unfortunately has some blistering on the paintwork (would require a respray to get it 100%, I never had it done as its too minor to bother me but may bother others)
ETA, the car was originally a UK car, which was imported into Northern Ireland by the previous owner, I then imported it to Ireland.
If anyone can answer the above questions I'd be grateful.

I don't see you'd have too many problems.... but I'd guess that as you presumably want to get paid in Euros, your best bet has got to be to sell to someone on the continent. I appreciate you've got an S2. but loads of S1 Elises are heading that way at the moment (including mine last week) and UK prices are much lower than those on the continent.

Could you explain how that worked, did you sell to a dealer or a private individual, did they collect the car and you deliver, also how did the funds transfer work, I'd be worried about being scammed.Gassing Station | Elise/Exige/Europa/340R | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
