Worn Out Rear Diffuser !!
Discussion
When I bought my S1 135s it had the original old janspeed sports exhaust which wore a perfect 5 mm wide 80mm long hole
through my tray, the previous owner never notice this, I found it when inspecting the car prior to purchase.
Now I have an Eliseparts 5" exhaust which sits well above the tray.

The toyota engined cars have difficulties with engine mounts being too soft. This is translated into pull and push of the zorst across the mounting points. At best it can strech the rubber mounts at worst it can pull apart the zorst at the mounts.
Also the stock Lotus zorst is not the best in the world. My stage 1 holed in 14 months.
Get rid of it - they are so damn hefty, you wont believe it is fitted to a lightweight sports car. Go get a 2bular and be one happy bunny!

Thanks for replies - it would appear it is a relatively common problem?
I have a Larini back box and outlets, but the worn hole is under the original aluminium clad, Lotus section of exhaust.
I will get it tightened up and have to patch the hole on the "inside".
Just found this - would be much easier to keep clean - but it is a bit pricey!
