S2 2.9 V6 ECU plug

My son received a Star Fault Finding kit today, kindly lent by Gerald-TVR (many thanks btw!). However, when he came to try and find his fault, him and his mates couldn't find the 3 point plug to plug the fault finder into. They had a fish around in the footwell, but couldn't find it. Can anyone tell us where it is, and what it looks like?

He's a bit confused, as he now doesn't know if the kit will fit. It's got a triangular 3 pin plug on it, so he was expecting to find a 3 pin socket for it to plug into. Is this not the case, and if so, how will he make it fit?

Have a good fish around to make sure that the plug isn't hiodden away somewhere.
Also (from my poor memory) there were some adaptors on the kit I borrowed. Not sure if they converted from triangular to linear or were male/female adaptors.

He's had another good poke around today, and can't find anything at all. He did find two cut wires in the footwell though, but perhaps they are parts of the Air Con system that TVR removed from the loom?
