Popped down to have a look. Only 3 teams on track.

Renault, BAR and Jaguar.

Managed to get in the pits and up close to Mr Trulli getting in and blasting down the pit lane.

Had a wander further in field to a spare section of track where we just happened to bump into the Williams team with Ralf doing some start practices.

We got talking to one of the Williams technicians who explained Montoya had been there in the morning but flew off to Imola at lunchtime!

What a life!

You got in the infield at an F1 test? How did you manage that then? I went for general testing on Friday and was told by the security monkey on the gate not to go past the terrace at Luffield. Not that I took a blind bit of notice you understand I'll get some pics of the Creation Lister and Rollcentre Dallara up when I have a chance

They also tell you not to drive above 70mph on a motorway!

Where there's a will and all that.

I really wish I'd taken the camera now, what a bummer!

The tunnel is always open, although it probably helps if you can park in the infield
