different forum skins?

I mainly use the forums using opera on a htc hd2 with a full browser (i.e. not using the mobile site).

I can't work out why, but when I log in I randomly get one of two looks to the forums.

the first is the skin with the drop down menus. this works perfectly with no issues.

the second is the one with the linked buttons for my stuff, what's new etc. this one doesn't work at all, won't let me log in and if it does will ask me to log in when I try to post and then not let me log in.

I've noticed 2 versions when using a normal pc too.

can someone explain what I need to do to keep seeing the drop down menu version?

When im not logged in the site looks different for me sometimes. After login normal.

The chaps changed the default skin to the one with the menus to the blue one. If you had the one with the menu's before; when you login it remembers that and uses that.

If you're not logged in you use the other skin.

There are a few different skins for the site, The old skin "PH Classic" has the dropdowns and is what older members see when logged in unless you have changed it via your preferences.

"Big Blue" is the default skin which is used when you are not logged in and for more recent members. It's faster and fixes a few tricky bugs, so it is the one we recommend people use.

Finally there is the mobile site, which looks like a simpler version of big blue. It has a login bug at the moment where you can not log in via the forums, instead you will need to go to the homepage (mobile.pistonheads.com) and then click members and log in from there. Once logged in it should work fine.
