Here's how to play:
1. Go here: http://www.votematch.org.uk/2010/index.php (when it's not crashing under weight of demand)
2. Click on "England" and then answer all the questions honestly
3. At the end, select all the parties
4. Look at your top result and then post in my poll as to what the result was and whether it was what you expected.
My result was a surprise to me. Was yours?
(PS - Sorry to anyone not in England, and sorry also to anyone for whom 'Green' came out on top - there's no enough poll options in PH for that!)

BNP - 81 (ouch)
UKIP - 70
CMD - 37
LD - 25
Green - 22
Broon - 2
BNP? Glad it's not an instruction manual.
Says more about CMDs Tories than anything else. I'm going to abstain this time, as I have to vote Illiberal Undemocrats to unseat my Lab MP (who will be ousted by every commuter in town anyway I'm sure for claiming a second home when living inside the M25 anyway)

Based on my result, if i were to vote for UKIP, Do they stand a chance?
or would it be a waste of a tactical "get the labour party out! vote
Realistically - not a cat in hell's.or would it be a waste of a tactical "get the labour party out! vote
The idealistic on here will now blather on about how you should vote for who you want to - or not to vote at all but the harsh and unrelenting truth was summed up by another PHer earlier.
A Conservative vote is a vote against Brown.
A Labour vote is a vote for Brown.
A Lib Dem vote may be a vote for Brown if it's a Lib Dem vs Conservative constituency
A UKIP, Green, or BNP vote is a vote for Brown.
If you want to get rid of Brown you must vote tactically if you are in a marginal seat (and surprisingly many are).
If you are in a safe seat you might as well vote with your heart for whomsoever you wish.
A bit of research should tell you what to do..
UKIP: 73%
Conservative: 53%
Labour: 33%
Lib Dem: 26%
Slightly surpised by that. I have never been a follower of politics, and until now, have never voted, but I hate Gordon Brown with a passion and want him out. So I am working out which way I am going to vote.
So far, as I can tell it breaks down like this:
Example A) Have a job, have a car, pay tax, generally live a 'normal' life = Conservative.
Examle B) What to sit round at home all day, watching trashy day time TV, don't own a car, thinking that the whole world owes you a living = Labour.
Where I live would seem to be a fairly safe Tory seat, 47% vs 33% in 2005, but I just can't risk voting for anybody other than Tory to minimise the chance of Winky T

I followed its advice about not including any party I would never vote for.
Conservatives 55%
Lib Dems 34%
Labour - 5%
Feck me. What the feck did I agree with them about!
I tried to do that, but it insisted I choose a minimum of 3 parties, so I had to add the Nazis as the least repugnant of the remaining options. This gave me the following, which was quite scary!Conservatives 55%
Lib Dems 34%
Labour - 5%

Conservatives - 59%
UKIP - 56%
BNP - 55%
The real shame is that if UKIP would just drop their ludicrous views on Europe, I'd vote for every single one of their other policies, and they'd be streets ahead of the opposition in my view.
