Xbox Live - Changing LiveID?

Has anyone done this with any success?

I put the old LiveID and pass in, and the new LiveID and pass, and then confirm, and it says 'Cannot Connect to Xbox LIVE'.

Anyone else had this problem? I can't find anything out about it, I'm definately connected to LIVE at the time of doing it!

Any ideas?

Yep I did exactly what you did and had no problems at all, can you still log into XBL using your old GT?

Yeah, it's not changed to my new email address, ridiculous

I didn't change my email address only my gamertag, think you have to change the email address seperately.

I've done it (changed both Gamertag and email address), but can't remember how!

That doesn't help you really, does it? But there is definately a way of doing it.

Have you tried doing it via the Xbox website? That's how I did it, as I'm so slow typing on the 360.

I didn't see a link to do it on the website? Are you thinking of changing Gamertag? I think you can do that online...
