Good source for S1 parts and advice needed please
Discussion
Hi i have just got an S1 requiring some minor repair work and parts.id be verry greatfull with a little help and advice on the following please.
I requiire a pair of headlights as mine have rusty reflectors;
the radiator+ fibre glass chassis section is dammaged (o/side) is it just glued on?
should it have a front grill and fog lights?
Where will i find the paint code as i will be touching her up (dark grey)
Also i havnt got the key with it am i correct assuming its just a Vauxhall standard key to turn her on? if so on whitch lock is the key number?,
I was told the imobaliser was not needed to start the car, although i have the touch key.
i can get the engine to fire breifly when cranking but just wont keep running, not sure if its fuel (16L showing on the guage with o/side up on the curb))i cant hear a pump but relay clicks.
I had to stop play today as i tripped over the jump leads and spent 4 hours having a gash above my eye glued back together.
thanks in antissipation

Check out Elise-parts and Eliseshop for parts. There's always the Lotus dealers too.
When you say glassfibre chassis section are you referring to the glassfibre sill?
Replacing that is actually a big job - the glass moulding you need is much more than the sill. Good news is that the glass sill can be repaired (depending on extent of damage) which may be easier and cheaper.
