Have you ever seen Matthew Keith Hall...a.k.a Harry Hill(he's a brain surgeon you know!)out of character? He's never been interviewed as Matthew Hall as far as I know & Iv'e never seen him at an awards ceremony or similar out of character. Just to ad, I think he's great, a true family entertainer. laugh

Knowing how crap his comedy is I would be worried about him operating on me!

Yes smile. I think he was also seen on Stars in their Eyes out of character before becoming Morrissy.

I'm sure I read an interview with him as Matthew not Harry a while ago and like most comedians he's plagued by depression and apparently hates all the work he has to do for TV Burp, he even suggested this yeaar might be it's last.

I remember Hill when he was funny. That has got to be nearly twenty years ago.

It IS funny (peculiar)that most of the people that don't think he's funny live up North....Norfolk, Midlands, Scotland etc.

He's predominantly a London comic which is why you can't understand his sense of humour. I think your better off sticking to your Royston Vasey (that's Roy Chubby Brown for the uninitiated!) videos! wink

Don't like Roy either. I can see why children find HH funny though as his humour is very slapstick and obvious - kind of like a more grown up chuckle brother.

Personally, I think Frankie Boyle is the funniest comedian about at the moment. I love the way no subject is taboo, and yes he offends - regularly - but he always makes me laugh.

I find him funny the first time i see his "act"/joke. When you then see it re-told for the fourth or fifth time on dofferent programmes over the space of a year it gets a bit old.

Hmm interesting, very wrong yet interesting, as I'm London born & bred, work in London but have lived in Norfolk for the past few years this means I'm unable to tell when a comic is CRAP...

Southern person here, living in London, I think he is boring, tedious, and his program is utter dross.

Never found his stand up particularly funny but TV Burp is hilarious and one of the best things on telly, he also turned You've Been Framed round and made that watchable as well.

Is anyone else like this with TV Burp.....

I seriously LOVE the "TV Highlight of the week" bits and the random bits like "Shortest sentence of the week". They crack me up.

But the FIGHT bit is crap. I get up and get a drink before even seeing the costumes because its not even going to raise a smile in me. On the other hand, my housemate likes that bit the most which I struggle to understand. There is no element of surprise or unexpectedness or anything to it.

Harry Hill excels in bringing attention to small things that when looked at in a certain way are comedy.

And out of character, I'm sure he is like most other comedians - Not very open to relationships and opening up to people, whilst all the time being prone to depression. It takes a certain sort of mind to take normal events and see the funny things in them all the time.
