conversion T350 rhd to lhd
Discussion
Hello everyone
I ask you a question and I hope your advice
So ...
You can turn a T350 RHD (UK) in a LHD (Italian)
I found this advert selling a T350 RHD with the possibility of change to the left (see below in the description "possibilità di conversione a sinistra)
I leave you the link
http://cerca.automobile.it/veicoli/details.html?id...
last thing that could cost a similar intervention and those who do it '?
turn also links
thanks

Haha indeed it is!
I live in mainland Europe and would not convert mine unless the costs were very low, which they just cannot be. I find the T350's field of view over the left shoulder pretty good for a sports car. The little rear side window removes the blind spot issues that for instance a Cerb or a Lotus Elise has, and I feel anyone can easily get used to it.

It must be possible but it won't be easy. I expect you'll need at least:
- new steering rack
- new steering column
- modifications to engine fire wall
- Modifications to wiring loom
- Mirror of dash board upper and lower segments (Upper part of car shell, windscreen out, re-trim new dash)
- mounting frame for steering column
- new hydraulic lines for brake and clutch pedals
- modified/longer throttle cable

Good morning Klaus,
did you try contacting TGE Automotive in Switzerland? They have already done a very good Cerbera LHD conversion currently for sale. I'm afraid it would make your car twice as expensive in the end, though. On the other hand, you would have a very unique LHD T350 ...

I see what you're geeting at. But there are three cheaper solutions to the overtaking-problem:and not for a discussion if it is reasonable or not
I have had already a T350C and overtaking was just dangerous
furthermore it's very cumbrous to use the parking deck automat and so on ...
1.) Do not overtake on b-roads (sorry, but i have to say it...)
2.) Get yourself a camera on the passengers side mirror and a head unit with lc-display. Saw something like that mounted on a sagaris that was sold in germany.
3.) Have a sexy passenger sit beside you as a lookout. While at it use a roadbook and headsets. ;-)
On a side note: Number 1 is what i do most of the time, sometimes Number 3 minus the headsets.
As for the parking garages:
1.) Get out of the car, walk to the automat and pose a bit while doing so. How cool is that? But you've got to train that, so it doesn't look silly.
2.) Use a telescopic grip for parking decks with electronic pass cards
3.) Drive up the ramp in reverse and do a rockford turn after entering the car park. 8-)
On a side note: I do not use car parks with the T350.
Sorry if some sarkasm made it into this posting, but i simply couldn't resist...

I'm converting a tuscan at the moment and the items that I modified are
-the chassis needs to be modified and also the food well on the drive side to make room for the pedal box and also gearshift.handbrake and front cross member to take the LHD steering rack
-the full fire wall has been modified for the air con and header these change sides
-brake and clutch lines not a big deal because of the full body rebuild
-wiring loom not a big deal also changing to a viper alarm at the same time
-top and bottom dash need to be modified and recovered new carpets
-new steering column bracket already don
-new wiper motor and top panel
-and and few smaller item's as the throttle the linkage water and air con hoses and change switches from side to side
-I'm waiting on the steering rack at the moment
cheers

very interesting
idea of the costs for tuscan?
It is to early to say what the cost will be we are know idea of the costs for tuscan?
We are doing the first conversion and we need to make a lot of tooling so its impossible to make an estimate on labour.
There are also a lot of variable factors as condition of chassis .body even color
The first will be ready in spring time than we will start work on the second one that one we will be able to make an estimate on labour we have got the most of the parts at the moment like steering rack interior part and exterior parts these are in excess of 5000 euro's so it will be in excess of 12000 euro's including labour depending on a lot of different things
I know the swiss importer did some conversion on some tvr bud not tuscan and price were in excess of 18000 euro's
if you are interested send my a email in the spring and I will be able to tell you more
Cheers
