I've decided that the lenses that i have at the moment don't fully meet the situations that I seem to find myself in. I was looking at trading in this little lot

Canon EF 35mm f/2 (mint+boxed)
Canon EW-65II Lens hood for 35mm (mint+boxed)
Hoya 52mm Circular Polariser Filter (unused+boxed)
Canon EFS 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS (mint+boxed)
Canon ET-60 Lens Hood for 55-250mm (mint+boxed)

Cost around £500 new, all in very very good condition as I'm anal about that.

I've sent out the list to a load of websites and shops that buy second hand. So far only one has come back with an offer of £220 which i was amazed at. That's a stupidly low amount in my opinion. I know they have to make money off their purchases but seriously? Do lenses really depreciate that much even when in excellent condition?

Also, trying to trade up to the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L lens, anyone had good/bad experiences with it?

Honestly sell them on ebay. Any store has to give you less than the market value so they can sell on at a profit, and who knows how ling they will have to hang on to them for?

As to the 24-70 (mk2 comin soon, possibly) its an excelent lens I found too long on a crop body.

Speak to MBP Photographic, he might take some of them off your hands. www.mpbphotographic.co.uk/

I think he has a minimum buy in value of £100 anyway.

+3 for eBay.

I bought a lens from Grays for £200 and sold it for £220 on eBay!
