I have a double garage on the side of my house, single skin circa 18'*16' currently with flat roof.
I am considering extending over the top to make a master bedroom with en-suite shower room in a pitched roof with dormer on front and boxed out at the rear. Unsure on how much usable space that would give?
To access the new room I plan to reduce the size of the current master bedroom by running a corridor inside it and studding a new internal wall, and moving the doorway. Any idea on how much this is likely to cost and and value it'll add? Downstairs accommodation could support another bedroom.
