Has anyone fitted a Mod-Wise 'Starter Button'?

Peninsula do something similar. there's been a few threads on here about them. Not my thing personally though.

yup, i'm looking at doing it, i put a post up a week or so back, very informative.

Looks like mine will get delayed for a bit as work has all of a sudden got rather busy, bit of a social animal at the mo too even had the barmaids buying me drinks last night!!

I'll try and find the link to the post, then put it up here.

Personally i was looking at maybe fitting a bracket of some sorts to the steering wheel, and place it there.. i don't think i could bear the thought of putting a hole in my ally dash.

door starter wouldnt look quite right on the door though IMHO. needs to be on the dash somewhere

Good point! I have a 390; the fagerator is on the console. I wasn't thinking of a Chimaera.
My Esprit has two cigulights, one on each door; and ashtrays in the sills. But not for long...

Hi Yiw,

To be honest sometimes i feel i need a more practical car then other days after being out in the Chim i couldn't swop it. I think the mixed feelings were because i had a lot of starting problems early on. These have since been cured during Decemebr and it's started first time every time since. Just a little concerned as when i go anywhere will i be coming back in it.

Doesn't the Mod-Wise button come as a DIY job with all the relevant instructions then?

Not sure but I know the guy had it fitted at Peninsula

If you get their boot opening kit as well, you could replace the boot opening button on the dash with the starter. Jobsagoodun!

How does it work? Does it totally replace the need for a key like on the Cerbera? Do you press it again to switch off?

mate, me and electrics are a match made in hell. A straight swap replacement of the central door locking solanoid was enough to baffle me.

Ah... er... should be able to wire it up in about 20 minutes without any problems. Depends where you mount it, and whether bits of dash have to come out etc etc...
