Hi

Looking to replace the tyres on my S3, and was just looking for some suggestions and opinions?

I've recently had a set of BF Goodrich G-Grip fitted to mine. Steering is now much lighter and they seem to cope quite well in the dry, wet and snow!!. Not very racy looking but i'm quite happy at the moment, and only £41 a corner fully fitted from F1 Autocenters.

There was quite a bit of discussion about 12/18 mths ago re tyres. The general concensus was that Bridgestone ER300s were the best V rated one. I put them on the S3C I then had and was very pleased with them; several other people also had good remarks about them. I paid £61 per corner fitted from memory.

I have had the Bridgestone E3000's on my S3C and am very pleased , I am also on a 60 profile rather than 55's and find that the performance is still very good plus a lot less grounding !

I have just had some Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas from Camskills. they replaced my eagle F1 GSD3's on the back. They are much quiter and the grip is fantastic especially in the wet it is unreal. Highly rate them

though you will have to check if they come in the size you want as I know they are some times hard to find

TYRE VALVES
I need new tyres this spring to replace some
old Bridgstone RE71's which came with the car.
what about the valves has anyone used alloy valves rather than the standard
rubber jobs, they will look better (I think) any thoughts recommendations,
I've seen plenty on e-bay but don't want to buy something of
dubious quality

I got some chrome covers from Kwik fit only a couple of quid just push over the rubber and instant bling!

Back on tyres have Bridgestone Er300's on mine which are fine but have heard good reports about Toyo CF-1's as well

Thanks, all useful advice so far. The last set I bought were RE71's a fair while ago, so I just want some more up to date ideas!
