Just a quick question; I've got a lot of lights in places that are often left on and then used infrequently that I'd like to put on a motion sensor, so that they switch on/off as required.

Because of the number of units I'm talking about I suspect involving an electrician will be a costly exercise, so i was wondering if anyone was aware of any plug in products that can sit between bulb and fitting (strip lights too) to add this functionality?

Cheers

Are the lights already on plug in ceiling roses?

Getting a plug in unit may prove difficult or impossible, some lights do have a pir built into them from new but for that you would probably be looking at new lighting.

If the switches are near the light/area to be lit you could get a pir or timer if not that close as a straight swap for the switch.

Failing that you are looking at getting an electrician.

how many lights are we talking here?

commercial premesis I presume?
