PH Gamer Tag Database 360/PS3/PC/Wii

I started a little website last week and someone suggested that it would be a good idea to have an online database of everyone on PH with their gamertags and what games the play.

So all morning I have been making it and the result can be seen here

http://www.pistongaming.co.uk/tags

You have to sign up but only takes 30 seconds and it means that you will be able to enter in what games you have on what console. Hopefully this means that you will no longer have to rummage for a Wiki that is 10 pages back on the forum, or have a massive table in a thread. as they are all easily accessible here. It will hopefully make it a lot easier if you are new to PH to find people to play with.

So sign up and add yourself to the database.

I definitely want feedback as to what else I should add to make it easier for everyone. Consider this a very much Beta Version. There will probably be a few little bugs but just post them here and I will sort them.

UPDATE: You can now have different names for every different console. As soon as you login you there is now a link that says "Change your Gamer Tags" That is what you need to do if it is different on another console and you have already registered. If You haven't registered yet it doesn't affect you.

What a good idea.

Immediate thing I noticed is that you enter your gamertag, without specifying which system its for?

I understand how it works, because you specify which system you are looking for gamers on - but it seems a bit of a "clunky" way to do it?

Other than that though its a great idea, and well done to you for actually making it happen

Yep that was my thought I was going to do it so that you specify system first. Only problem is people have more than 1 system. A few people have 360/PS3 and some people have a main console and a Wii. So I did it that way even though it is more long winded.

Yeah I'd have to agree, when you're searching for fellow PH'ers to play with (oi oi!) you'll be doing it it by console primarily as you'll want people with the same format as yourself.

You can search by console http://pistongaming.co.uk/tags/360.php

That is for the 360's but I am sure a few people have 2 consoles making it harder if you can only select one as your primary one. It can be changed if everyone thinks that's the best way to do it?

Oh by the way, i've added Forza onto my games that i play but it's come up with my PSN name, how do i change it ?. I uncheck it but it still comes up....

Yes Yes you have! I stand by my statement of this being an early Beta. If people don't use it I can't pick up the problems. Fixing it now for ya!

I tried to add "Everybody's Golf World Tour" but the "'s" Caused a Syntax error...

I shouldn't be lazy and not put stripslashes in the right places. Try again and let me know if it is ok?

Click "Your Games" then choose either ps3/360/wii/pc Then just tick the box and click update.
