Blimey, this car seems to spend all its life for sale (Claremont had it a while back, too). Whenever I see "rare rhd Corvette for sale" I always think: "is it the white 90 with the red interior" and what a shock, it always is!

I know there was a recent topic on pistonheads about RHD but this may be useful as there's an interior pic.

Joking aside, I'd like to see it in the flesh to see what the conversion's like in detail (suspicion: cr*p).

Why do you think RHD Corvettes are so rare? - 'cos NO-ONE WANTED ONE!!!

Note to C4 owners: have you ever copmpared the width of the driver's and passenger mats? If you have you'll see how little room there is on the right side of your car. Feels like it too if you ever sit on the passenger side. Good job it's auto, no room for 3 pedals...

P.S. this one's just been waxoyled - why the hell would anyone want to do that. Mind you I have seen some rusty C4s...

Maybe the other RHD Corvette (C3)that's always for sale will come up soon?

I would think that they ratle even more than a stock car as the conversion is done afer the vettes leave the factory and one of the last stages is in the build process is to test the car for unwanted noise.

I think the r/side is even smaller in a ZR1, sure Geoff will correct me if I'm wrong

I am a LHD-er to the bone.
However, there was a guy posting in this forum that he loved Corvettes but felt in no way could he deal with the LHD issue.
Well surely this is what he needs, one sh1tload of car for no money, even if it does rattle a bit.
Can't remember the guy's name or handle though.

They test Corvettes for unwanted noise!?

Who do they use - Tommy? (as in The Who's character in the film)

I have a feeling the manual vettes (not just ZR1s) have less room due to that monster ZF.

As in "I was going to attempt fitting a clutch myself until I got under and saw the size of that gearbox!"

One thing's for certain, a rubbish conversion of a decent LHD car produces a rubbish RHD car. It may be reasonable to convert a car whose floor pan is engineered for both LHD and RHD but on anything else I think it's a complete waste of time, effort and $£$£$£$!
