wonder if any of you fine Noble M400 folk can help me, im just about to pick up my 05 M400 my first noble only drove for 15 min. knew i had to have one loved it wont go into detail cause were be here all day. im told the standard brakes are not good for track days they suffer brake fade and dont respond to high temp. what would be the best all-round brake set up be? or would special pads do the trick. one final thing is there a known wing mirrow replacement as i think they do no justice to the car to big and bulky.
Thanks ur advice would be appreciated.

Detailed information available towards the bottom of the FAQ page - link below

I'm running the AP slotted discs front and rear with Pagid RS29s - really great combination and good even when cold. Well proven by others for track work and no problems in my (limited) track experience. You just have to be able to put up with the low speed brake squeel when driving round town!
Cheers

Hello mate, good to have you with us. I agree, the mirrors are not the nicest part of the car, there are a few mirrors you can change to, the one i like is this one on the race car -

Hi. AFAIK, unless upgraded to solid brake pipes, all Nobles came with rubber pipes. These expand when hot (like from track work) resulting in considerable brake fade. Maybe check yours. Thanks ur advice would be appreciated.

Fair point but when the pipe expands the brake pressure shouldnt decrease
as the fluid should still be pumped under pressure, of course the fluid will get hot which can result in a small amount of fade but not like the effect of ur pads going greasy as if ur discs are oiled, i think the Ap racing set up sounds good, cheers

Heres a small photo of my car with carbon type mirrors with indcators in them, dead easy to fit once you've strip the door panel off.

Really like the carbon mirror looks good, i was thinking of something more like the Ford GT 40 mirrors pointed backs rounded front to match rear lights which are a little dif on mine in profile pic a little retroEdited by sundance02 on Friday 19th March 17:53
