Don't need to worry about there being room in the back - it fits in the front!

TVR powered Minor anyone?

Don't joke that looks very much like the V8 minor I saw on TV which had a 350BHP Rover V8 in it - it too had the standard look wheels. Street sleepers - you,ve got to love 'em.

Nick Mann used to rule the hillclimb and sprint world with his (well his mum's actually) 4.something Rover V8 twin turbo NO2 injected Minor, and he drove it to and from meetings.

Autocar tested it, it made the 7 Litre ex John Woolf Cobra that they used as a benchmark for oomph look a little tame

That's the one I was trying to remember!

"Without really trying, Mann went from nothing to 6Omph in 3.1 secs, hit 100mph in 6.9 and 150 in 17.2"

Just think Gubio thinks that a Viper 2002 can hit 150 in 15 seconds! I mean, that Minor gives a real impression of what you need to hit that type of performance....

Hats off to the loonie that made it - you can just imagine the discussion down the pub.

"Right, lets take a small car"
"Yeah, something like a Moggie"
"Yeah, that will do"
"Then lets get the biggest engine that we can get to fit"
"Yeah, like one of them V8's"
"Yeah, and we will really tune it like"
"Yeah, and mines another beer"
...

...

At the end of it they end up with a Moggie like that! Niff respect.

Cheers,

Paul
