So which Insurer is compeitive following Hagertys withdrawal

Since Hagerty decided to withdrawn from the 'modern classic' market this year affecting Chim/Griffs onwards - who have people been finding are most competitive ?

I believe several use the same Underwriter as Hagerty, so in theory quotes should be in the same ball park. I personally havn't found this so far !

I found James Egger and Mannings the best. Actually £100 cheaper than Hagerty!

I dont understand this "withdrawal", I have just insured the Aston and the Cerb again as usual. They gave me a good price and seemed very greatfull for the business. No problems at all.

Flux are the clubs choice and I have to agree, in my circs, they were the best quote.

Mannings, even though they used the same underwriter, mannings came out over £100 cheaper than Hagerty for me.

premium was £265 last year.
no idea who to try this year.

Mannings, Chim 400,track days, travel abroad, 5000 miles, use whichever repairer you want, £100 excess on a classic policy, £293.00. Cheaper than I paid last year!

Manning's -Unlimited mileage, trackdays, business use and fine when I had an accident (on track ) and also dealt with the other side when I was driven into when stationary. Don't know if they are the cheapest but I'm happy with the policy and the service.

It all seems totally random this insurance lark... Mannings were absolutely useless for me, as were Flux. Both wanted over £1200. I was paying £360 with Haggerty! Going to try some more today, but Richard Eggar are the best by a long margin so far.

Just phoned mannings after reading this and for me being 25 no points 5k/pa £360 which is by far the best quote i have had and track day cover and euro cover too very happy

Was with Hagerty, who i always found excellent, and very competitive for both the Sag and Griff. Just renewed both with Mannings, and paid £100 less than last year

It's all confusing, Mannings were far dearer for me than Hagerty and many I know had the same experience.

Yet several others have posted the opposite. I guess it all depends on circs.

Mannings were 3 times the Hagerty price last year, this year with Hagerty refusing to go ahead with the price they quoted last week (not too happy with the way they did that tbh), I've ended up with Classicline, who were still half the price of Mannings.
