Fan Sensor Query
Discussion
Morning everyone. I am currently in the middle of changing the swirl and upgrading the steel pipes. Pipes are full of rusty crud like aero bubbles welded to the inside of the pipe (clearly not been off for several years)Question I need answering is how do I get the fan sensor out? Is it screwed in? I think it may be quite difficult to get out given all the crud, and I am concerned I may break it so need to approach it in the right manner. If I break it where can I get a new one ? Thanks in advance
If you have the original pipes then the sensor is clamped in place around the outside of the pipes. The replacement SS pipes I have has the sensor screwing in from the outside and , if I remember correctly is the same as the chim or griff. I would have thought your supplier could confirm whats needed.
Probably just holding on by the rubber seal. The switches aren't that expensive, might be worth changing anyway - after powdercoating my pipes i put them back on with old switch intact - filled with coolant then when i rewired it one of the terminals fell off. This was cheapest i could find and arrived next day

Sorry for hijacking but a quick question regarding the swirl pot. I'm thinking of sorting the swirl pot and pipes out in the next month or so but I was wondering if you can powder coat the swirl pot. i.e. inside and out or do you just do the outside and leave the inside bare metal.
Back on topic;
As the sensor is less than a tenner including P&P you might as well give it a good yank and if you break it then hey ho, get another one.
