Supercharger for 993

I have seen adverts in 911 & Porsche World from 930 motorsport for a 993 Supercharger for £4500 + VAT and fitting. This looks like it should give a significant increase in bhp. Does anyone know anything about these? Upsides and downsides? Any comments?

Superchargers are great - they don't change the profile of the engine (not unlike a turbo) , just give you more power. The main points are though - not great if you do a lot of track days as they generally not as robust as just doing engine work. The other main concern is that the engine cooling is increased. Find out what they do for the money - if they just slap on a supercharger then I'd walk away, you need all the supporting changes done aswell (increased oil cooler for start). As for this conversion I don't know. There's a few people in the US (rennlist) that have had this done perhaps you could email them? I'd asked the the workshop for customers that have had the conversion and give them a ring.
