Windscreen Washers
Discussion
Has anyone moved/altered their windscreen washers??
I find that they are so close to the actual windscreen the jet squirts parallel to the windscreen, hits the wipers and isnt much use. I was wondering if moving them on to the actual bonnet ie further away from the screen, would help or possibly fitting Grif type washers attached to the wiper blades.
Any ideas/suggestions?

It has been discussed previously;

Somebody does a conversion kit, that might have originally come from a Peugeot. You might get better responses in the Chim forum
All that is really required is a t-piece that replaces the current jets. The outlet of this t-piece is routed tidily to the spray bar wipers. It can be done tidily because of the bonnet overlap. I've seen it on something - I think a Chim and it looks OK.
I need to do it to mine, if you find a kit let us know.

Norman,
I adapted the Leven wiper arm mounted nozzles to fit my S2. I replaced the tube (which was pretty manky and partly squashed) and fed it through the bulkhead behind the dash and up through the original nozzle hole in which a T-piece sat, so that a tube fed to each wiper arm. Sorry no pics.

I put wiper arm sprays on mine last year, £18 i think it was from flea-bay, for new wipers, spray bar and new tubing.
Not a big job to fit, cut old pipe near washer bottle, add on new Tee piece and feed pipe along bonnet line to each wiper base.

I also stuck the pipe to the bulkhead with some stick on wire straps. What a massive difference it makes when cleaning the windscreen

Something like the above. I think I bought the clear pipe as extra with a T piece.
