Some US Hondas specify 5W-20 oil. A reputable letters page answer to an owner who had trouble with availability of this oil grade was,
"First automakers are looking to maximise fuel economy and thinner oil means less internal drag and thus reduced fuel consumption. Second, thinner oil flows more easily into tightly fitted engine parts and Honda has a penchant for close tolerances. That said we can't imagine 5W-30 hurting anything in the warmer months. You may not get that last bit of mpg but your engine should be well lubricated."

Seems consistent with Mobil's response that their UK and US spec oils are interchangeable for the C5.
