I can't update my profile

Having some troubles trying to update my profile, I want to remove completly the picture, but I keep getting this message:

Oops...

Sorry, that member name is already taken

Any ideas why? I'm not even trying to change my name, just want to get rid of the damn picture!

So are you going in via My Info (grey bar above) and then selecting Profile?

It's sounds like you are trying to re register?

Correct, just trying to edit profile, not trying to re-register or change name.

Having a similar problem, I can't change my name back to Art_Vandelay and apparently Art Vandelay is taken despite the search coming up blank

there is someone with the user name Art Vandelay, they have never posted though

When did the change come in to now allow anything other than letters and numbers? I can see the reasoning for it of course, but can't I have my old name back

Actually, ignore that, with my new name I can now see my quotes highlighted. Didn't know this happened
