When's the best time to sell privately?

As the title suggests really, does it have much effect on the resale or not?

Anybody have any opinions on where's best to advertise after PH?

I would start advertising in late March, early April.

Spring appears to get people in the mood for sports cars.

Depends how keen you are to seel/how much you want for it. Bargain hunters come out in the winter months! Plus, in the spring/summer, there's more competition.

A serious buyer is looking 12 months of the year, sun comes out and so do the dreamers. If it's a goodun with the right price it will sell whatever the month.

I agree with crankedup. You will get nothing but tyre kickers at Easter Weekend. I'm in the middle of buying a Griff and have been keeping constent eye out for the right one for the last 6 months.

edited to add, watched the prices in autotrader for 3 months prior to buying it, didn't seem to vary much.
