Good indian restaurant Tyne & Wear / Northumberland / Durham

Any recommendations? I'm looking to take our lass out on saturday night so want a good, nice tasting indian restaurant and I'm sure there'll be a few on here that have some good suggestions

Satchins in town behind central station is good, as is Valley Junction 97, by The Carriage pub/West Jesmond metro. Kesar in North Shields is very good, probably my favourite. Oh and Komal (sp?) in Jesmond is also pretty good, though haven't been there for some time.

Agree with Liam. Vally junction is good.

Also try Gate of India in Tynemouth.

We've been to Valley Junction, pretty good as you say, but we fancy trying somewhere different, so thanks for other suggestions

Damjani and Veranda in Whickham, have been told both are very nice.

Raj Mahal in Ponteland is highly recommended, great long menu to choose from, and friendly staff.

Veranda is not as good as it used to be. The Jamdani (see what I did there) is still cracking.

Raj Mahal is the one in the middle of the small shopping centre, not to be confused with the one on the main road, which I dont particularly recommend, if its still there even. Enjoy.
