Apologies if this has already been asked, I tried the search function (honest!)

I use the news widgets on my site and for some time now the picture associated with the first news article hasn't been displaying. I have just tried to generate a new news widget and get the same red x, am I doing something wrong?

This is an area of the site that has been a little unsupported in the last year or so. We will though have a look into it and try to see what is causing the problem.
