I have not ate out in London for a couple of years, but had a meal in a steakhouse in Covent Garden yesterday before seeing Hairspray. The food was okay, and the service was great. But there was one scruffy young girl serving. Litrally looked like she had come in from being at a party all night. Hair everywhere, an all in one body suit on with a pair of old jeans hanging round her arse, and an old hoodie. Her makeup was thick black eye liner and the whole group of us were pretty shocked how she got away with it when all the other waiters were in a smart uniform. It was mentioned to our waiter who rolled his eyes and said she was the manager eek Personally I think this is totally unsuitable and not a good image for the restaurant, or a good lead to her staff. But am I just being picky and old, is this the way places in London are run now?

Sounds like the one to miss the next time perhaps.

If she's a manager, probbly can get away with it. Not very professional...

I was served in a very expensive food hall the other day by a bloke who dressed like and resembled an Anemic junkie pirate.
