Auto tick 'notify of replies'

I just don't have the time to check here every hour of the day.

Aha - and the answer is at the top of your screen ....

Click on "Whats new" then "My Stuff"

I see no reason why this cannot be a setting you can choose via your "my preferences" page.

I'll add it to the list of ideas.

Excellent, Thats what I meant.

I didn't mean for it to be on all the time - so people who post more than me would get loads of emails!

Personally, it is THE best feature of any forum for seeing what you are taking part in, and if it has been updated etc. It is so easy when you know you have some 'internet' time to just go to it, and see what has happened there and then.

Emailing me updates annoys me. It is a waste of server bandwidth, email box storage and processing power imho... you also get popups or pestered with emails when you are too busy to see what has happened, and then end up forgetting to go visit if the feature is set to notify until you re-visit, or if you don't have that feature, you can get hammered with emails for every single response! Grrr!

Just look when you care, rather than being bombarded with emails

If someone needs to get back to you quickly on an issue I can see a point, but I think that is quite rare, and the button IS there to do it on those rare occasions anyway.

If you're happy to get 100's of emails, then so be it I guess - but all the functionality is already there to give you what you want. And far far FAR simpler than going through 100s of identicsl emails.
