I've just read the text on that website.
It was the owner himself, who did the rebuilt, which took over one year.
The story began, when he drove on the Autobahn, and saw an F40 in his rear mirror, and changed lane to let him pass.
Within range of sight, an Alfa changed lane and hit the rear off side wheel - the F40 skidded and crashed.
Our man stopped and gave first aid for the light injuries of the F40 owner, and left a card because he was a witness of this accident.
One week later, the witness called the owner, and asked what he is going to do with the wreck, and the owner promised he could have it, when all accident stuff was closed.
After three months, the old owner called and said the car was ready to be picked up.
From what I understand, he got the F40 for free, and I think with all his efforts to rebuild it, he is a worthy new owner.
