Have you ever wondered where a car you used to own is now? Maybe you'd like to buy it back?

With so many members covering every corner of the country, there must a good chance of someone knowing someone who might know where a car you owned many years ago is currently residing.

I'll kick off.

c.1986, I owned a 1971 Mercury Comet. 302 cu.in. V8. It may have been a GT model; not sure. Reg plate: ELE 9J
The car was white with blue stripes. Big slot mag rear wheels; standard fronts.

I removed the two-barrel carb and inlet manifold replaced them with a polished Weiand Hi-Ram intake manifold and two 4-barrel 650cfm Holleys. (The bonnet had to be suitably 'altered' hehe)

I sold it after it it killed its third gearbox. To a couple from Surrey, IIRC.

Would love to know if it's still out there... might even fancy it back scratchchin

Anyone else fancy tracing a 'lost treasure'?

The couple who bought the car did say they intended to use it for a drag car. Sounds like it never went back on the road frown

PBM8H - Triumph 2.5Pi - Harvest Yellow with full length webasto sunroof.

I wonder where it is now?

I could add TEB723S - Fiesta 1300 Ghia - but it was pretty well dissolved when I sold it to a copper from near Bedford.

J873MFP - Vauxhall Senator 3.0i - in "corporate white" - sold to a man of Kent for restoration.

Everything else I've owned has ended up scrapped after I had my money's-worth out of it!

I did some searching for a number of my old cars the other night. It's funny how a lot of the cars I looked after and sold in excellent condition haven't been taxed for years and I assume have been scrapped or at least sorned/stripped and the cars which were total sheds are still taxed and on the road.

Just wondering if anyone can help really. I have been trying to track down 2 old cars one being my old fiesta zetec s and the other being my dads old TR7 haven't gotten anywhere with the fiesta but I know my dads old TR7 was on the road a few year back to doing a bit of digging already. The reg for the TR7 is ULM 111R and the Fiesta is EX58 CXT. If anyone can help try and track down the current owners of the cars I'd be extremally grateful.

Well the tr7 is sorn so assumingly someone has it locked away although it has been for a year or two. The fiesta is showing no tax or mot since last month so probably not so great news
