God that's a *beautiful* car, and a good sign that you're well on the mend Andy. Really good colour scheme too. Is it black or a dark shade of another colour? You're going to have some fun in that; loads of charisma and it's a real hoot when those turbos light up. Well done. I'm so pleased for you.

Cheers Kevin. It's metallic black. I was a bit worried whether I would love it as much as the TVR's I've had but in truth it would be an unfair comparison as it's a totally different experience. It really does make you feel a million dollars and oozes class and refinement while still packing an awesome punch.
The only annoyance yesterday was being hit by a huge stone on the A14 which has cracked the windscreen. Still, rather that than the bodywork.
Off out again this morning in the sunshine!

As you say, so much better than hitting the bodywork. Same sort thing happened to my 355, I was so lucky it hit the wing mirror and nothing else.
Congratulations on the car, its a v. handsome looking car. Maserati interiors have always been a favourite of mine.

Whats the gearbox like flash?
Gearbox is excellent, although a bit reluctant when cold. Not sure if it's me!
Glad I have the auto box, it's a proper Grand Tourer with it....
all people in the age bracket to buy an automatic Grand Tourer are reluctant when cold mate.
Looking great, have you tried a 996? how did it stack against it?
£30k is a pretty impressive value for that amount of car, kind of a generic question but how's it in the wet and for city driving?
Looks stunning in black though, like an Aston with a slight edge and without the high 2ndhand pricetag :P

Dumb question but you wern't in Northampton yesterday by any chance?
YEP!! Spotted I bet! We had a fun blat with my mate and his wife who own a 2001 Corvette and then lunch where we caused a stir in the car park.
Just to answer another question someone asked, I sold the TVR because I was struggling to get in and out of it after my operations and because it was really painful to drive. Other reasons were that my fiance can use the Maser for work and we can get rid of our third car. On top of all that I cant fly for quite a long time and we wanted something we could tour Europe in during the Summer....
Plus......I love the Maser 3200GT and have wanted one for ages...and it's superb!

Masser GT's .....getting quite a PH following too, hows yours going beasty?
IMHO the best 30k indulgance going, guy at work who used to work at Graypaul reakons 3200 is better, than the V8 for its manic drive!
The guys at maranellos service say the same too!
Nice one Flash, looks great and brilliant to ahve another 3200 on the board

Mine's got a few "issues" that need addressing. It didn't start yesterday after I'd been away for a week. Needed a new battery according to the AA. Also I am getting the "check engine" tell-tale when I turn on, so that's going to need to get sorted.
Is battery drain a common problem? I thought the lotus was bad, which wouldn't last much more than 4 weeks without a run, but 7 days is a bit silly. Also, any thoughts on the check engine tell-tale would be appreciated.
Other than these niggles though, the car is splendid.
