Can you do something so that MASSIVE images are rejected? There's really no need for any user posted picture to be bigger than 500kb imo and we're not all always in the office with superfast broadband...

Also when people quote posts with pictures can you make it so that the quoted picture is always thumbnail sized?

There is no way for us to identify or reduce the filesizes of large images as they are not hosted by PH. We do plan to change the images to thumbs in quotes, but this will not make them load any faster, only improve readability.

Unless all the moderators/developers are using super-duper broadband is there not a chance they, like me, might notice the odd 3MB pic slowly loading? And if so they could, unlike me, edit the post to delete the oversized image?

Well I'm on a fast office connection during the day and then a genuine 20Mb/s connection in the evenings, so I struggle to notice! :smug:

We also cannot read every single thread, so if you spot an image that is loading slowly though, just hit the report button and we/the mods will deal with it appropriately.
