Does anyone know somewhere that still sells yokohama A046 tyres? more specifically 235/45/17, standard evo fitment.

R888's? Yes whilst a good alternative have you seen the price increase on these??

More normal supplier has nearly doubled in price from last year and even a well known cheap supplier of these has the same price!

Apparently A046s aren't "E" marked so cannot be sold new on their own in the EU. However, they can be sold on new cars (they're the stock tyre for the CT9A Evos, bar the VIII 260).

It's not bad thing though, there are better tyres out there for decent money (Goodyear F1 Asymmetric, Falken 452 or 912, etc).

I can reccommend the Hankooks - an excellent tyre for all weather use, very reasonably priced and much longer lasting than the Yoko's.

Trust me - you do not want to use R888's in standing water eek

I have a set of 4k mile A046's in the shed on my original VII wheels but im keeping them in case i ever put the car back to stdbiggrin

I'm in need of 1 nearly new A-046 in Evo size (235/45/17)
Would consider a pair, possibly consider fitted to Enkie alloy(s)

Yep that is correct, AO48's are good as well are avaliable, but like R888's require additional caution in the wet!

Paradas or the new Yokohama tyre (which I have forgotten the name of)?

I've had Paradas for the last 4 years now. Love them except for when you got a slight sprinkle of rain from being bone dry.

I have AD08's on my EVO IX also and they suit the car perfectly. They have at least as much dry weather grip as the A046 and are massively superior in the wet.

I've got 4 200 mile old AO46 Yokos on virtually unmarked Evo 8 rims in my garage if the o.p. is interested.
