I was speaking to my former tutor on my engineering course the other day, and he's offered to fully check over my TVR as part of his lesson programme. So I'll have two qualified mechanics going over the S. FOR FREE. I am a happy man! (oh, and one does all his own rollcages in his rally cars.....outriggers won't be costing me a bloody packet now!).

Exactly what I was thinking! The tutor on the course owns a rare transit camper van with the 2.9 V6 in it too, so he's familiar with the engine (although I think the engine is pretty good in mine). I'll be replacing all the expendables first, then spending some time driving and getting a feel for what I want to improve.
