Are Ddeleted Posts Retrievable?

Is this possible?
The reason I'm asking is because I've been thinking today about replying a reply posted in response to one of my posts. But the person has deleted their response. I'd still like to reply, but their exact wording is crucial as to my exact reply, if you see what I mean.
I just need their text really to refresh my memory. Could this be mailed to me if a copy exists?

I'm afraid not. We do have records of deleted posts, but we can't email copies of them to you if the person who wrote it has decided to delete their response.
